If you’ve never tried Avocado Brownies then this is the recipe for you! I can honestly say that the thought of putting avocado into a gooey chocolate brownie made my stomach turn. BUT, I was wrong. These brownies were honestly amazing if I do say so myself. If you tried them and didn’t know they had avocado in you would have thought they were just your average chocolate brownies!
The best gooey gluten-free avocado brownies EVER!
Ultra-quick to make. Ultra-easy to make. Ultra-ultra amazing taste. Seriously! Avocado brownies are a game changer. This particular recipe is all gluten-free too, so if that’s your thing, I’ve got your back! In perfect time for you easter parties too! Why not throw some of these in and see if anyone actually realises they are avocado…they won’t know the difference.
Of course, you could add some more chocolaty goodness to these brownies. I was thinking of adding half a mini creme egg to the centre but I forgot to get any, typical really! So I just made them rich with chocolate chips and topped with Goji berries, more for colour then flavour if I’m completely honest.
Right, so the recipe! This in total made 12 brownies, but depending on what size you want them, you could make them smaller and have it as a stylish brownie bite.
1 Large Avocado
1/2 cup Agave nectar or Maple Syrup
1/2 cup Applesauce
3 large Eggs
1/2 cup Coconut Flour
1/2 Cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
1 tsp Baking powder
1/4 cup chocolate chips
Blend all the ingredients together (except the chocolate chips) until smooth. Once smooth, add the chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and cook in a 175c oven for 20 minutes. Once cooked, leave to cool, cut and enjoy!!
Honestly oh so simple and literally made within 30 minutes, including cooking time!!
