Life is a precious thing. I don’t mean to be that cringe blogger but you really only do live once. It’s a saying that has grown a meaning to me over the last year. You have to do what you want to do in life. Take risks. Step out of your comfort zone and try new things. You won’t progress in life unless you do. I’m a sucker for memories and hate deleting photos, throwing little things away with meaning and in general a bit of a hoarder i guess. This year i’ve tried to really step out of my comfort zone and do things for me. Me alone. Things that make me happy. That’s the main thing in life. I always worried about what other people thought, making sure everyone else was happy without focusing on what made me happy. Seeing others makes me happy. But if i’m not happy i cant see the happy people. This is a bit of a random post but i want to reach out to you and get you guys to make a change in your life, no matter how small.
I was with a client recently and she was talking about micro adventures. I think this is such a great idea. However, a lot of the ‘microadventures’ that she was talking about required a lot of time either preparing or on the actual day for the adventure. It got me thinking. Really thinking. What an amazing thing to get people into. Adventures for families, single people and the elderly. Making memories with loved ones and not worrying about the materialistic things in life, which many of us do, i too am guilty. But since leaving my job and knowing that i’m going away for 6months to work abroad this summer is such an adventure i’ll never forget. Once again, it always comes back to memories for me. I don’t want to be old and grey and not have anything exciting to tell me grandchildren…scary!
So, a fitness challenge which everyone can get involved in? Watch this space. I mean i’m not a miracle worker i can’t think of that in a few seconds but i’ve got a few ideas. Something for everyone, something for myself, something to get people motivated for! Something i can raise money for charity would really mean something. As you guys know, if you’ve read my previous blog posts, i suffer with anxiety, i would love to raise money for Anxeity UK and get more people talking about anxiety and helping those who are and have suffered. It can really take over your life and just having someone to talk to can really help.
I’m really excited about this. I know i’m going away so wont be able to do it just yet but it gives me time to plan and get people involved!! I’m thinking to travel around London to the major landmarks and perform burpees, getting as many people involved and spreading the word about anxiety and how fitness can help!
