1,083 miles of bliss…

So it’s nearly October, the year is coming to an end so quickly! Look back on the year and what have you achieved? Do you feel proud? Are you happy with your successes? If not, or if you think you are ready for your next challenge how does 1,083miles of walking/running/rowing or cycling sound? Sound ridiculous? Don’t get ahead of yourself just yet. This is the biggest virtual challenge in Britain, starting at Lands End in Scotland all the way to John O’Groats in Cornwall all completed without leaving your town, impossible right? Wrong! This is a virtual challenge so you can complete the 1,083 miles wherever you like, adding that extra sense of adventure to your workouts. You don’t have to run for miles outside if you would prefer to use a treadmill on a rainy day, or just your walks to work will rack up the mileage.

Challengers track their distances using apps such as fitbit, mapmyrun, mapmywalk, Strava and Runkeeper, which all link to the mile long course showing you how much of the course you have completed and also other competitors. The challenge is open to individuals and teams so get yourself and some friends together and sign up, quickest person gets dinner bought for them…that’s only fair right?!

So if you feel like you need a challenge or you fancy taking someone on sign up here https://www.theconqueror.events/go/vaxellfitness+ using code vaxellfitness+ for £5 off the registration fee. The event starts on 1st October, so set yourself a challenge and get exploring with a friend or solo! You’ll see me on the course and i’ll be blogging about my experiences through the 1,083 miles of terrain…in my local town!
